New Opportunities for Home saved seed.

Three well-established East Anglian companies have announced their association to offer combined services to farmers and growers.  Adams & Howling, Parker Seeds and Hutchinsons will be able to provide quality customer service, expertise and professionalism across a broad range of agronomic inputs.

Matthew Adams (Commercial Director, Adams & Howling) commented, “Many growers appreciate the benefits of growing home saved seed. Our association with Hutchinsons and their new mobile treater will allow us to offer our customers access to a high quality seed cleaning and treatment service.”

The Hutchinsons mobile seed processing business was recently launched at the Royal Norfolk Show.   “The new machine was very well received by growers who were clearly impressed with its quality” said Andrew McShane (Arable Sales Manager, Hutchinsons).   “A state-of-the-art machine combined with an experienced team of operators will allow us to deliver a very high standard of seed. We are very much looking forward to working with Matthew and Chris Parker (Agricultural Seeds Manager, Parker Seeds) in this new association”.

The local association of these companies brings together knowledge from seed companies and crop production specialists.   Chris Parker feels this will have great benefits for local growers.   “Our customers have come to expect a very high standard of seed quality from Parker Seeds and our association with Hutchinsons will maintain those standards. In addition there is great potential to combine the expertise of growers, the marketing skills of the Adams & Howling team and specialist knowledge of the local Hutchinson agronomists to develop more profitable ways of satisfying the market demand for crops such as Maris Otter.”
